Pre-flight Formalities
When passing pre-flight formalities, passengers must possess their identification document. If they are travelling with a child, they must show a handling agent his/her birth certificate as well.
Identification documents are the following:
- Valid passport or any other document that proves the passenger’s identity.
- Military ID (for conscripts and contract servicemen).
- Birth certificate (for passengers under the age of 14).
- For foreign nationals, stateless persons, and political refugees:
- National passport
- Certificate of stateless person
- Certificate of political refugee
- Residence permit
For children over the age of 14, an individual passport is obligatory.
Foreign nationals as well as stateless persons travelling transit via the Russian Federation to a third country, must possess a Russian transit visa.
